I had the privilege of sharing a little joy and happiness… and THAT makes me happy.

I sent a ukulele to a friend. I packaged it in a case and sent it to her. She is a talented songwriter and performing artist and she discovered ukulele while working on a recent project. Now she will have one of her own and she will be adding ukulele to her performances.

Playing the ukulele has become somewhat fashionable these days. It is a cheerful little instrument that is sure to bring a smile to your face when you start strumming one. Even rocker Robert Plant, from Led Zeppelin, has taken up ukulele. Tony Danza plays the uke. Bette Midler plays the uke. And musical performers all around the globe are playing uke.

When the opportunity presented itself, I shared the gift of music. In fact, I have made it a goal of mine to do so on occasion and I have, several times. It makes people happy and it makes me happy.

If you have opportunity to make someone happy, do it. Some say it is “good karma” and others say, “What goes around comes around.” As for me, giving makes me smile.
